*’ WOKE’ PRINCIPAL OF ELITE NYC SCHOOL RIPPED ‘DEMONIZING’ PROGRESSIVE CURRICULUM:

The head of an elite Manhattan school that booted a teacher for ripping its extremist “antiracism” policies was recorded admitting that it has been “demonizing white people,” according to audio released recently. “We’re demonizing kids, we’re demonizing white people for being born,’’ George Davison, principal of the private Grace Church School, was allegedly caught telling whistle-blowing  teacher Paul Rossi on the tape. “We are using language that makes them feel ‘less than’ — for nothing that they are personally responsible for,’’ supposedly the woke principal acknowledges, according to the audio released by Rossi. “The fact is, I am agreeing with you that there has been a demonization that we need to get our hands around in a way in which people are doing this [understand],’’ Davison says. Rossi, a math teacher, says he was booted from the school for the rest of the year for casting it as a leftist indoctrination site.

*IN SAN FRANCISCO, DRUG OVERDOSES CLAIMED TWICE AS MANY COVID-19:

More than twice as many people died from accidental drug overdoses in San Francisco in 2020 than from the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, according to preliminary data released by the city’s office of the Chief Medical Examiner. A total of 713 people died from drug overdoses in the city in 2020 compared to 255 who died from the CCP virus, commonly known as the coronavirus. Nationwide, the largest increase in the number of overdose deaths occurred in March and May 2020 and coincided with the CCP virus lockdowns, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. “The increases in drug overdose deaths appear to have accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic,” the CDC said in a statement.

*HUNTER BIDEN GUARDED BY TAXPAYER-FUNDED SECRET SERVICE WHILE ENJOYING ‘WEEK-LONG HOLLYWOOD DRUG AND PROSTITUTE BINGE’:

Hunter Biden was guarded by taxpayer-funded Secret Service while he enjoyed “a week-long drug and prostitute binge in a Hollywood hotel” in May of 2018, the Daily Mail reports. According to newly revealed screenshots from Hunter Biden’s largely media-denied but independently authenticated infamous laptop, Hunter refused to come out of his hotel room at the prodding of Secret Service agents. A bill from May 2018 shows Hunter stayed at the Jeremy Hotel in West Hollywood for seven days on the third floor “ordering room service each night, drinking at the hotel bar and racking up a $5,195 bill – including a $400 fine for smoking in his room,” and sought refilled prescription drugs of stimulant Viagra, antidepressant Lexapro, and anxiety-reducing Clonazepam, according to the report.

“H[unter], I’m in the lobby come down. Thanks,” the message purportedly came from the agent. Hunter responded, “5 minutes.” “Come on H this is linked to Celtic’s account. DC is calling me every 10 minutes. Let me up or come down. I can’t help you if you don’t let me H,” the text message read from the officer. According to the Daily Mail, the “Celtic’s account” is “an apparent code name for a senior politician under protection.” Hunter replied to buy more time, “I promise. Be right down sorry.” But there was still no sign of Hunter in the lobby.

“Dales here. He a going to front desk call and tell them to give us a key now H. As your friend we need to resolve this in the immediate. Call the front desk now H or I will have to assume you are in danger and we will have to make them give us keys,” the next demand came of Hunter. Hunter replied, “Really I am coming down right now. I really promise. Was in bathroom buddy. Coming right this second.” But Hunter apparently did not come down. “We’re at the door. Open it,” the text from the alleged agent says. The protection in 2018 raises questions of legality, as the Bidens claimed they did not have protection in 2018. Joe Biden lost his secret service protection after his vice presidency. The Daily Mail also reported, “Press releases by a private security firm published a week after the text exchange with Hunter, announced the agent left the Secret Service after a 25-year career and joined the firm as CEO.”

*LOU GEHRIG’S LEGENDARY 1938 YANKEES BAT SELLS AT AUCTION FOR $715,120:

A baseball bat used by Lou Gehrig during his final full season with the New York Yankees sold for $715,120 at an auction over the weekend. The 34-inch, 36-ounce Bill Dickey model Louisville Slugger model was used by the baseball legend in 1938, according to SCP Auctions, which received 26 bids in the online sale. “It’s one of the best Lou Gehrig bats ever discovered and, obviously, the provenance is impeccable,” David Kohler, the auction house’s owner, told the New York Times. Gehrig quit using the heavier bat at the end of the 1938 season, his penultimate. In 1939, he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a fatal neurological disorder that later became known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

*DE NIRO’S LAWYER SAYS HIS WIFE’S ‘THIRST FOR STELLA MCCARTNEY’ WILL MAKE HIM WORK TILL HE’S DEAD:

Robert De Niro’s lawyer said Friday that his estranged wife’s lavish spending habits and demands that are “rich with indulgence” will work the actor to death. During a divorce hearing, Caroline Krauss, De Niro’s attorney, said her client, age 77, is breaking his back trying to pay for Grace Hightower’s shopping: “When does he get the opportunity to not take every project that comes along and not work six-day weeks, 12-hour days so he can keep pace with Ms. Hightower’s thirst for Stella McCartney?” In 2019, Krauss continued, Hightower purchased a $1.2 million diamond ring. In 2015, the federal government placed a $6.4 million tax lien on the actor. Hightower’s lawyer Kevin McDonough countered that De Niro himself is the profligate, pouring millions into multiple home renovations and extravagant travel. McDonough said, “When Mr. De Niro goes to brunch Sunday in Connecticut, he charters a helicopter up there.” The two filed for divorce in 2018, and since then, De Niro has cut her allowance from $375,000 per month to $100,000 as of January, according to McDonough. The two signed a prenuptial agreement in 2004, but they continue to battle over the terms of the split, most heatedly over alimony payments.

*ACCLAIMED NUTRITIONAL PHARMACIST, BEN FUCHS, EXAMINES THE BENEFITS OF COLLAGEN SUPPLEMENTS:

The consequences of collagen loss as people get older are clear. Fine lines and wrinkles etch themselves into the skin as it sags. Collagen supplements have developed into a multibillion-dollar industry as a result of our efforts to replace missing collagen and recover a more youthful skin tone and healthy joints. Are these supplements the equivalent of a fountain of youth in a bottle, or are they all marketing gimmicks? Our own natural collagen helps to keep our skin plump and youthful. Is it possible that the kind that comes in a bottle would work in the same way? Acclaimed Nutritional Pharmacist, Ben Fuchs, has some thoughts on this matter. “Neither fountain of youth in a bottle or marketing hype, supplemental collagen can be incredibly valuable for supporting the synthesis of the body’s natural collagen and the connective tissue that it supports,” states Ben Fuchs. “That means fewer wrinkles, and more youthful skin as well as better bones, stronger heart and vasculature, and reduced risk of hernias, ruptures, and prolapses.”

People who took collagen for a few months saw some changes in wrinkles and skin dryness, according to reports. “The data are very weak,” says Nazanin Saedi, MD, associate professor and director of the Jefferson Laser Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology Center in Philadelphia. Other dermatological therapies, such as Retin-A and laser resurfacing, have a lot more proof that they improve collagen development, according to her. Ben Fuchs continues, “By talking in collagen orally in supplements as well as through diet the body will have the raw materials it needs to produce its own. Still, cofactors like vitamin A, copper and most especially Vitamin C are required to turn the supplemental collagen ingested into actual collagen in the body. And dermatologic treatments can help too, although to maximize the benefits of topical strategies, it’s important to make sure the raw material and cofactors are present inside the body.”

Benjamin Knight Fuchs is a registered pharmacist, nutritionist and skin care chemist and for the past 35 years has been developing pharmacy-potent skin health treatments for estheticians, dermatologists, and plastic surgeons. “I believe that caring for your skin can be much more than cosmetic,” states Ben Fuchs. “I believe that caring for the skin is about the health of the skin. And that’s why I created Benjamin Knight Fuchs, R. Ph. Truth Treatment Systems; to provide topical nourishment for the skin that meets the strictest performance standards.” Ben formulated Truth Treatment Systems because he saw the need for topical treatments that worked with the biochemistry of the skin. Treatments that augmented and enabled dermal processes at the skin cell (not surface) level. Ingredients to activate fibroblasts, normalize keratinocytes, stimulate proteins and enhance the production of extracellular lipids.

Truth Treatment Systems remedies are made with 100 percent active and functional ingredients. They have no fillers, preservatives, waxes, emulsifiers, oils or fragrances. Their ingredients leverage the latest biochemical understandings and utilize proven strategies gleaned from years of compounding prescription skin health treatments for physicians and the most discerning patients.

***In the last decade, I have revised 3,000 résumés while working as a college career adviser. Here is my advice: The strongest will fit on a single page. Exceptions are few. An 8.5 x 11 inch sheet of letter paper fits about 700 words. So be efficient. Recruiters often say they spend six seconds reviewing the average candidate. Are you worth seven? —– A-J Aronstein (Mr. Aronstein is the dean of Barnard College’s Career Center).

*EXAMINER – BUSINESS: JEFF BEZOS DROPS KNOWLEDGE ON US

Since Amazon went public in 1997, Jeff Bezos has penned a much read annual letter to the company’s shareholders. With plans to hand over reins of the company to AWS head Andy Jassy later this year, Bezos dropped his final annual letter. After processing the emotions of never reading a Bezos annual letter again, our Jacob Cohen highlighted some key takeaways:

· On success: “If you want to be successful in business (in life, actually), you have to create more than you consume. Your goal should be to create value for everyone you interact with.”

· On safety: “Roughly 40% of work-related injuries at Amazon are related to musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs)… We’re developing new automated staffing schedules that use sophisticated algorithms to rotate employees among jobs that use different muscle-tendon groups…”

· On life: “To all of you: be kind, be original, create more than you consume, and never, never, never let the universe smooth you into your surroundings. It remains Day 1.”

April 1942. “Portuguese-Americans in California. Mr. H. Ormond, who is a leading jeweler in San Leandro, came to the United States from the Azores Islands 23 years ago when he was 17 years old. For three years he lived in San Francisco and then moved to Oakland, where he worked in a jewelry store for ten years. In 1932 he opened his own store in San Leandro. Mr. Ormond and his wife have worked long hours to build their establishment and now hold a respected position in the social and business life of San Leandro. Mr. Ormond said, ‘I received my education as a boy in the Azores but I have found that all the things that I learned there as well as the principles of honesty and integrity and thrift and industry that my parents taught me have served me well in my adopted country. While I now speak a different language, all the principles of life in the United States and the Azores are the same’.

*SEATTLE PARENTS SHOCKED WILL RETURN TO SCHOOLS WITH HOMELESS ENCAMPMENT:

Seattle students will begin a return to in-classroom learning in April, but parents were left shocked after learning that homeless encampments, located on the grounds of two schools welcoming kids back, will likely remain even after the schools reopen. “As students at Seattle Public Schools start to return for in-person learning following the onset of the COVID-19 crisis, the district continues to grapple with the presence of two homeless encampments that have taken root on a pair of the district’s campuses,” Seattle’s KOMO reported. ‘The presence of the encampments at Broadview Thomson K-8, located at 13052 Greenwood Ave., and Edmond S. Meany Middle School, located at 201 21st Ave., has stirred concern among parents and residents who live in the area. They are outraged that students will be back in class Monday and the district has not yet resolved what they describe as a dangerous problem.”

Parents and residents want the homeless encampment removed, they told local media, not simply because special education students are returning to in-person learning on the two campuses, but because the homeless encampments have become a frustrating problem.“Neighbors have been calling on Seattle Public Schools for months to remove the camp that they say has brought increasing problems to their neighborhood,” KOMO reported earlier this week. In February, they say, a woman died of an overdose in the camp, which, neighbors contend, has become a hotbed for illegal drug activity. The city of Seattle has so far refused to move the camp because, city officials say, the camp is on the grounds of Seattle Public Schools, which must tackle the problem for itself or officially request help from the city of Seattle.

“The City shares the community’s concerns regarding the encampment at Broadview-Thomson, and has been open to working with Seattle Public Schools to help address encampments adjacent to SPS property and facilitate a safe return to the classroom for Seattle students,” Seattle’s Mayor Jenny Durkan said in a statement. “However, the decision of whether to address an encampment on school property is up to Seattle Public Schools.” Durkan then went on to suggest that Seattle Public Schools may not want to fully address the problem. “Recently, the Seattle School Board President issued a statement decrying City outreach strategies that may eventually lead to a removal and demanding that removals should ‘never be performed on school grounds, adjacent, or elsewhere in the City.’” Seattle Public Schools says it is aware of the issue, but that it believes the encampment is not dangerous.

*NY OFFERS $15,600 TO ‘UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS WHO LOST WORK’ DUE TO COVID:

Legislators in New York approved checks of $15,600 for “undocumented immigrants” who lost work during the COVID-19 pandemic and are otherwise ineligible for relief from the federal government. “New York will offer one-time payments of up to $15,600 to undocumented immigrants who lost work during the pandemic. The effort — a $2.1 billion fund in the state budget — is by far the biggest of its kind in the U.S,” posted the New York Times on Twitter.

*MARIJUANA LEGALIZATION LINKED TO RISE IN FATAL CAR ACCIDENTS:

For giant cities like New York, cars and traffic are just part of the urban landscape. New York is also one of the growing list of places across North America legalizing marijuana. Unfortunately for drivers (and even pedestrians) a new study finds those are two things that simply don’t mix. Canadian researchers find legalizing cannabis leads to an increase in fatal auto accidents; potentially putting hundreds of drivers in danger each year. A team from McGill University analyzed legal recreational cannabis use and deadly motor vehicle collisions across the United States. They then applied the data to Canadian roads to find out how legalizing the drug may impact local roads.

“Analyses of data suggest that legalization of recreational cannabis in United States jurisdictions may be associated with a small but significant increase in fatal motor vehicle collisions and fatalities, which, if extrapolated to the Canadian context, could result in as many as 308 additional driving fatalities annually,” writes researcher Sarah Windle and her co-authors in the Canadian Medical Association Journal.

In Canada, researchers find cannabis consumption increased by three percent between 2018 and 2019, when the country legalized its use. According to Canadians reporting their own usage, that raised the number of people using marijuana to 17 percent. Among cannabis users with a driver’s license, the study finds 13 percent admit driving within two hours of using marijuana. The total number of people admitting to getting on the road after recent cannabis use jumped from 573,000 to 622,000. A 2012 analysis estimates cannabis-related auto collisions in Canada result in $1.1 billion worth of societal and economic damages annually. Drivers under the age of 34 are responsible for the majority of that damage.

*THE U.S SAW SIGNIFICANT CRIME RISE ACROSS MAJOR CITIES IN 2020… AND IT’S NOT LETTING UP:

Major American cities saw a 33% increase in homicides last year as a pandemic swept across the country, millions of people joined protests against racial injustice and police brutality, and the economy collapsed under the weight of the pandemic — a crime surge that has continued into the first quarter of this year. Sixty-three of the 66 largest police jurisdictions saw increases in at least one category of violent crimes in 2020, which include homicide, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault, according to a report produced by the Major Cities Chiefs Association. Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Raleigh, North Carolina, did not report increases in any of the violent crime categories.

*CHARLES BARKLEY SAYS THE ‘SYSTEM’ AND POLITICIANS WANT BLACK AND WHITE PEOPLE TO HATE EACH OTHER:

Charles Barkley shared some refreshing and blunt thoughts about the divisions in America, and everyone needs to hear his words. It’s known that the retired NBA legend never holds back when he has something to say, and this time he touched on the chaos and carnage in America. Trust me, it’s been a minute or two since we’ve heard something this wide.  Barkley said the following Saturday afternoon prior the Final Four games starting:

Man, I think most white people and black people are great people. I really believe that in my heart, but I think our system is set up where our politicians, whether they’re Republicans or Democrats, are designed to make us not like each other so they can keep their grasp of money and power. They divide and conquer. I truly believe in my heart most white people and black people are awesome people, but we’re so stupid following our politicians, whether they’re Republicans or Democrats, and their only job is, ‘Hey, let’s make these people not like each other. We don’t live in their neighborhoods, we all got money, let’s make the whites and blacks not like each other, let’s make rich people and poor people not like each other, let’s scramble the middle class. I truly believe that in my heart.

*MOST PEOPLE CAN’T TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SCREAMS OF JOY AND SCREAMS OF TERROR:

Is your friend in a state of sheer delight, or intense fright? The ear-ringing sounds some people make apparently make it hard to tell. A new study finds most people can’t tell the difference between screams of joy and screams of terror. Researchers from Emory University say screams of happiness are often interpreted as screams of fear because both have similar acoustic features. People use screams to express a range of emotions, from happiness, to excitement and surprise, to anger, frustration, and fear. Most of the time, it’s pretty clear which one of these feelings a person is trying to communicate.

However, it appears screams of joy are much harder to decode if you don’t have any additional context. Study authors suggest the confusion may stem from ancient times, when making the right call was the difference between life and death.“T o a large extent, the study participants were quite good at judging the original context of a scream, simply by listening to it through headphones without any visual cues,” says Professor Harold Gouzoules in a university release. “But when participants listened to screams of excited happiness they tended to judge the emotion as fear. That’s an interesting, surprising finding.”

*EXAMINER – BUSINESS: KETCHUP REPORTEDLY SUFFERING FROM LATEST COVID-ER SHORTAGE

The coronavirus pandemic has sparked a nationwide ketchup shortage that has restaurants scrambling to get ahold of America’s most popular condiment, a new report says. In especially short supply are ketchup packets, a hot commodity for eateries that have relied on takeout orders over the past year as COVID-19 crimped their dining room capacity. Health officials have also helped drive up demand by pushing restaurants to ditch shared ketchup bottles for packets or other single-use containers, the paper reported. Prices for ketchup packets have spiked 13 percent since January 2020 amid that increased demand — and Heinz, the largest producer in the market, hasn’t been able to keep up, the Monday story says. The iconic ketchup brand is urging restaurants to be patient while it works to increase its manufacturing capacity by 25 percent so it can churn out more than 12 billion “sachets” a year, according to the Journal.

*WHO IS THAT? 40% OF AMERICANS DON’T RECOGNIZE THEMSELVES IN THE MIRROR:

Who’s that in the mirror? While many people haven’t seen their friends during the coronavirus pandemic, some believe they haven’t even seen themselves recently. Two in five Americans say that they’ve passed a mirror and not recognized their reflection at least once during COVID-19. A national survey of 2,000 American consumers examines the evolution of respondents’ relationships with their bodies since the pandemic started last year. Over half the poll (51%) believe the pandemic has negatively affected how they feel about their body. Another 42 percent confessed to not feeling “at home” in their bodies anymore. About one in two people (49%) say they don’t have the same level of confidence as they did prior to COVID-19. The survey, conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Massage Envy, also examined consumer confidence and discovered there are a few things that respondents said they would need in order to regain the level of confidence they had before the pandemic.

For 52 percent, a vacation would help regain their confidence. A haircut (33%), a night out (37%), and a massage (37%) all top the list as well. For some, confidence involves more than just the physical, with three in ten consumers (31%) saying they would like to start mental health therapy. Researchers find the pandemic has taken more out of us than our confidence. According to the results, 47 percent of Americans say their body has been aching in brand new ways since last March. After everyone’s daily routine was upended, the new daily ritual has started to take its toll. Nearly three in five (58%) admit their daily routine since the start of the pandemic is inflicting major wear and tear on their bodies. Half the poll admitted to feeling physically drained on a daily basis from the general stress of COVID alone. Another 46 percent blame the general “sameness” of the passing days for feeling drained. Almost two in five people (39%) feel physically drained without in-person interactions and nearly a third (32%) feel tired from practicing safety precautions while out and about.

These daily stressors have also had an intense physical impact on those respondents who experienced chronic pain before the pandemic began (45%). Of those with chronic pain, two in three (66%) reveal their pain has increased since the pandemic’s start. Meanwhile, among those who have never experienced chronic pain before (55%), nearly a third of them say the stress from the pandemic has given them chronic pain for the first time in their lives. Many of these Americans (40%) feel they’re going to need professional help to get their body feeling like its pre-pandemic self.

*NIKE AND DOZENS OF OTHER COMPANIES PAID NO FEDERAL TAXES FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS:

Nike is one of several enormous and profitable U.S. companies that paid no federal taxes in the past three years, according to a study released Friday. Other well-known names included Duke Energy, FedEx, and Salesforce, though dozens more businesses in sectors like energy and industrial chemicals made the list. Nike, which took in $4.1 billion in profits in the same time period, paid what the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy tabulated to be a -18 percent tax rate, meaning tax credits and rebates from the federal government amounted to more than the company paid. Former President Donald Trump slashed the corporate tax rate in a sweeping bill in 2017, and President Joe Biden has pushed to raise it.

*75% OF ALL U.S VOTERS, 69% OF BLACK VOTERS SUPPORT VOTER ID LAWS:

The subject of voter ID laws is one of the sources of contentious debate in our modern political arena. Here’s everything you need to know about the pivotal set of policies which could help decide future elections. According to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey, the vast majority of likely U.S. voters believe that some form of photo identification should be required before voters are able to cast a ballot. According to the survey results, which polled 1,000 likely voters:

  • 75% of likely U.S. voters believe photo identification should be required to vote.
  • 89% of Republicans support voter identification requirements.
  • 60% of Democrats support voter identification requirements.
  • 77% of politically unaffiliated voters support identification requirements.

*SHARON STONE SAYS SURGEON GAVE HER LARGER BREASTS WITHOUT CONSENT:
‘HE THOUGHT I WOULD LOOK BETTER’:

Sharon Stone says that a plastic surgeon gave her larger breast implants without her consent, telling her that they would “go better” with her body, she writes in her new memoir. The Basic Instinct star, 63, explains in her memoir, The Beauty of Living Twice, that she was undergoing breast reconstruction surgery to repair her chest after doctors had to remove benign tumors that were “gigantic, bigger than my breast alone,” in 2001. But when Stone woke up from the reconstructive surgery, she discovered that the surgeon gave her large breast implants, The Times reported in an interview with the actress. “When I was unbandaged, I discovered that I had a full cup-size bigger breasts, ones that he said ‘go better with your hip size’ ” Stone said. “He had changed my body without my knowledge or consent.” And when Stone questioned her surgeon on her breast size, she said he told her that he “thought that I would look better with bigger, ‘better’ boobs.”

Stone also writes in her memoir, out on March 30, about the stroke and cerebral hemorrhage she experienced in 2001, at age 43. Speaking about that harrowing health scare with Willie Geist on Sunday Today, Stone said that she was lying in a hospital bed as a doctor told her that she was close to death. “The room was so silent,” she said. “When the room is so silent and no one’s running around trying to fix you, that’s when you realize how near death is and how serious everything is.” Stone recovered and took a two-year break from acting as she rebuilt her health, but said in a 2019 interview with Variety that the stroke stunted her career. She went from being at the top of her game following 1992’s Basic Instinct and 1995’s Casino to struggling to find work for seven years, while also losing primary custody of her adopted son Roan. “People treated me in a way that was brutally unkind,” Stone said.

“From other women in my own business to the female judge who handled my custody case, I don’t think anyone grasps how dangerous a stroke is for women and what it takes to recover. “I had to remortgage my house. I lost everything I had. I lost my place in the business,” she continued. “I was like the hottest movie star, you know? It was like Miss Princess Diana and I were so famous, and she died and I had a stroke. And we were forgotten.” Stone has since reconciled with Roan, who is now 20, and lives with him and her two sons, whom she later adopted, Laird, 15, and Quinn, 14. “I’m in a really grateful place,” she told Geist. “When I was a kid, I always wanted to have a house full of kids running and screaming and dogs, and I got it. And I feel very blessed and happy about the life I got. We’re happy together, and what’s better than that?”

*U.S CHURCH MEMBERSHIP FALLS BELOW MAJORITY FOR THE FIRST TIME:

Americans’ membership in houses of worship continued to decline last year, dropping below 50% for the first time in Gallup’s eight-decade trend. In 2020, 47% of Americans said they belonged to a church, synagogue or mosque, down from 50% in 2018 and 70% in 1999. Line graph. U.S. church membership was 73% in 1937 when Gallup first measured it. It stayed near 70% through 2000 before beginning to decline, to 61% in 2010 and 47% in 2020.

U.S. church membership was 73% when Gallup first measured it in 1937 and remained near 70% for the next six decades, before beginning a steady decline around the turn of the 21st century. As many Americans celebrate Easter and Passover this week, Gallup updates a 2019 analysis that examined the decline in church membership over the past 20 years. Gallup asks Americans a battery of questions on their religious attitudes and practices twice each year. The following analysis of declines in church membership relies on three-year aggregates from 1998-2000 (when church membership averaged 69%), 2008-2010 (62%), and 2018-2020 (49%). The aggregates allow for reliable estimates by subgroup, with each three-year period consisting of data from more than 6,000 U.S. adults.

*POLL: 64% OF AMERICANS SEE ‘CANCEL CULTURE’ AS A THREAT TO THEIR FREEDOM:

A poll released by The Hill on Monday showed that 64% of Americans believe that “cancel culture” is a threat to their freedom. The information comes from a Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll survey released exclusively to The Hill showing that 64% of the respondents to the survey stated “that there is ‘a growing cancel culture’ that is a threat to their freedom, while 36 percent said they did not view it as a threat to their freedom.” The poll also showed that 36% of respondents said that cancel culture is a “big problem.” Thirty-two percent said it was a “moderate problem,” and 20% said it was a “small problem.” Thirteen percent said it is “not a problem.”

Merriam-Webster defines “cancel culture” as “the practice or tendency of engaging in mass canceling … as a way of expressing disapproval and exerting social pressure.” The results of the survey reveal a potential growing sense of people being unnerved by recent “cancellations” in the press and culture. Several high-profile “cancellations” have brought the topic up as a main conversation in America, whether it is through the banning of books, such as the decision of Dr. Seuss Enterprises to stop publishing several of Dr. Seuss children’s books earlier this month or the most recent act of Scholastic to pull the “Captain Underpants” spinoff due to its alleged “passive racism.”

*CANDACE OWENS RIPS LIL NAS X’S ‘SATAN SHOES’: ‘NOBODY HAS THE COURAGE TO TELL BLACK AMERICA THE TRUTH’:

Candace Owens on Sunday ripped into the media and corporations for promoting a “sick culture” that’s crippling future generations, particularly black Americans, whom the conservative argued are being “used” to promulgate such unhealthy messages. Owens’ criticism was sparked by so-called “Satan shoes” promoted by hip-hop artist Lil Nas X, though the Daily Wire talk show host emphasized that she believes the performer is merely a “pawn in a larger game” and “does not understand what’s happening.”Nas sparked backlash this weekend over the shoes. He designed a pair of Nike sneakers with the company MSCHF that apparently include a drop of human blood mixed with ink, of which only 666 pairs are available for purchase, staying inline with the satanic theme. Nike said Sunday that the company has nothing to do with the release or the design of the shoes, but the company stopped short of denouncing the Satan-themed kicks. The sneakers coincide with a new hellish music video from Nas, wherein the singer gives Satan a lap dance.

*ACCLAIMED LITIGATION ATTORNEY, ZEIN E. OBAGI JR., EXAMINES AMAZON’S PRACTICE MAKING THEIR DRIVERS PEE IN BOTTLES:

E-commerce giant Amazon has apologized to a US lawmaker after falsely denying that some of its drivers are forced at times to urinate in plastic bottles. The flap started last week with a tweet from Mark Pocan, a Democrat from Wisconsin. Acclaimed litigation attorney, Zein E. Obagi Jr., had much to say on the matter and was quick to criticize this unethical employer practice. “The Ninth Circuit has found it inhumane for municipalities to criminalize natural conduct that our homeless population must undertake, such as urination, defecation and sleeping,” states Zein Obagi. “These are natural processes that human dignity requires us to permit all people to equally do. That an employer, let alone one of the most wealthy and technologically advanced in the world, has not come up with anything better than a plastic bottle for its drivers to use to urinate demonstrates a real abandonment of occupational safety principles.”

US lawmaker Mark Pocan also had much to say on this subject stating, “Paying workers $15/hr doesn’t make you a ‘progressive workplace’ when you union-bust & make workers urinate in water bottles,” Pocan tweeted, in an apparent reference to Amazon’s opposition to efforts to unionize a major facility in Alabama. Amazon’s official account quickly responded, saying: “You don’t really believe the peeing in bottles thing, do you? If that were true, nobody would work for us.” Zein Obagi concludes, “I can only imagine the lack of hygiene afforded to a driver that needs to move her bowels, or change a feminine product. Employees in California should know their complaints about unhealthy or unsafe practices at work by Cal. Lab. Code § 6310. As always, these complaints should be made in writing to a superior so the employer cannot deny that they were made.”

WHAT’S UP: BY SARAH GARCIA
*** I have taken notice of the decline in religion occurring in the USA. A new survey says just 48% of Americans actually participate in an organized religion – that is the lowest number ever recorded in this country.

*** Unthinkable that a President of the US would suggest boycotting a state. Democrats continue to think minorities are stupid. We are perfectly capable of getting a photo ID the same way we do when we need to get on a plane or to buy Sudafed.

*** According to new FBI data, there was a 23-year high of over 20,000 murders in 2020. This shouldn’t surprise anyone. When you defund and villainize the police for nearly a year, criminals are emboldened and our cities are less safe.
