*Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed
bin Salman’s Powers Have
Been Stripped:

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been stripped of some of his financial and economic authority, The Guardian reports. The heir to the Saudi crown has been absent from a number of high-profile meetings in recent weeks, the paper says. One of the Saudi kingdom’s key advisers, Musaed al-Aiban, will now take over investment affairs on the king’s behalf in the crown prince’s absence. The kingdom did not confirm The Guardian’s story. Instead, a spokesman for the Saudi embassy in D.C. told the paper, “It is customary for the king of Saudi Arabia to issue a royal order delegating the power to administer the affairs of the state to his deputy, the crown prince, whenever he travels abroad… Any insinuation to the contrary is simply baseless.”

The report follows The New York Times’ revelation of a “hit squad”—called the Saudi Rapid Intervention Group—that was formed by the man known as MBS and relied upon for as much as two years before the October 2018 murder of Washington Post writer Jamal Khashoggi to execute “the surveillance, kidnapping, detention and torture of Saudi dissidents” on the crown prince’s orders.

Mother Of 11-Year-Old ‘Drag Kid’ Who Performed At Gay Bar Says Child Protective Services Showed Up
At Her Home:

The parents of 11-year-old Desmond Napoles, a so-called “Drag Kid” known as “Desmond is Amazing,” have been investigated by authorities for alleged child abuse, confirmed mother Wendy Napoles via Instagram on Saturday. Desmond, dressed in full drag, danced in a sexually suggestive manner on stage at a New York City-based gay bar called 3 Dollar Bill. As Desmond took off his jacket, howling men in the audience handed him dollar bills, as one might see at a strip club. The Daily Wire confirmed the existence of the disturbing “performance” but has chosen not to link to the exploitative footage.

Since the incident, authorities have been asked by concerned citizens to investigate the family for abuse. According to Life Site News, “Child Protective Services (CPS) investigated Desmond’s family, as did the New York City Administration for Child Services (ACS), the New York Police Department (NYPD), the Child Advocacy Center, the Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the Department of Labor, and the District Attorney’s Office.”

The boy’s mother said in a post that authorities have claimed the abuse allegations are “unfounded.” Wendy evidenced this with screenshots of such determinations via social media. “We have been accused of child abuse, exploitation & maltreatment to the point that we have been backed into a corner trying to defend ourselves,” she said, fashioning herself the victim. “We have been under a microscope since early December. I never thought I would have to breach my own privacy & confidentiality to provide proof that has been demanded of us out of malice,” she added.

*Iran Wins Leadership Post at UN ‘Gender Equality’ Body, After Sentencing Women’s Rights Advocate to Prison, Lashing:

The United Nations’ body dedicated to “gender equality and the advancement of women” this week handed Iran a key role in evaluating “injustice and discriminatory practices against women” – on the same day as an Iranian court reportedly sentenced a women’s rights advocate to 38 years’ imprisonment and 148 lashes. No Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) member-state raised an objection or called for a recorded vote, and Iran got the post.

Also on Monday, Iranian human rights activists, citing family members, reported news of the sentencing of Nasrin Sotoudeh, a lawyer who represented women charged for protesting the mandatory wearing of the hijab. Sotoudeh, who was arrested last year, was charged with various security offenses, including spying, plotting against the state, and insulting supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

 * Refuses to Take Down Anal Sex ‘How-To’ Guide
Targeting Teens: is refusing to pull a graphic article explaining and promoting anal sex to teenagers, despite widespread outrage from parents.

The article, “Anal Sex: What You Need to Know; How to do it the RIGHT way,” was originally published in July 2017, but was updated in May 2018. Its author, Gigi Engle, writes, “Here is the lowdown on everything you need to know about butt stuff, no matter who you are, whom you’re having sex with, or who you want to have sex with. “This is anal 101, for teens, beginners, and all inquisitive folk,” she adds.

Welcome to Episode # 1 of the revealing TV show “Without Notes” with Eliad Moreh-Rosenberg, curator of the Holocaust Museum in Israel – Episode 1: The Early Years:

*EXAMINER–SPOTLIGHT: Laugh Factory Comedy Club Sues Comedian Harith Iskander for Over 10 Million Dollars in Alleged Breach of Contract and Copyright Infringement Case

The Laugh Factory Comedy Club, one of the world’s most recognized and respected names in the comedy club business over the last three decades, has filed a ten-million-dollar-plus law suit against Malaysian comedian Harith Iskander in a “massive breach of contract and copyright infringement” case according to Laugh Factory lead attorney, Clifton W. Albright. The attorney predicts that, “The impact of this case will be significant and far-reaching for comedy clubs and the protection of their brands, reputation and trade secrets.”

Meanwhile, Clifton W. Albright has filed a lawsuit against Iskander and any “business partners” for over 10 million dollars. The lawsuit alleges that Iskander and his wife, with the support of business partners, stole Laugh Factory’s intellectual property while pretending to make preparations for opening Laugh Factory comedy clubs throughout Asia.

“In 35 years, I’ve never once sued a comedian,” states Jamie Masada, owner of Laugh Factory, “I’m standing up for all the comics that have had their work or intellectual property stolen in the past.”

The Laugh Factory originally opened its doors in 1979, and has been recognized as “the #1 comedy club in the country” by such high-profile media as USA Today. With Southern California locations in Hollywood (its original Sunset Boulevard locale) and Long Beach (opened in 2008), comedy’s top stars as well as today’s brightest emerging talent shine on its legendary stage.

Famed Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Robert Kotler along with 12 members of the White House staff, 3 Nobel Prizewinners, over 100 Academy Award winners, 6 U.S. Senators, and over 300 Grammy Award winners.

The Brits and Canadians I know certainly love their single-payer health care systems. If one of their politicians suggested they should switch to the American health care model, they’d throw him out the window. So single-payer health care, or in our case “Medicare for all,” is worth taking seriously. I’ve just never understood how we get from here to there, how we transition from our current system to the one Bernie Sanders has proposed and Elizabeth WarrenKamala Harris and others have endorsed.

Despite differences between individual proposals, the broad outlines of Medicare for all are easy to grasp. We’d take the money we’re spending on private health insurance and private health care, and we’d shift it over to the federal government through higher taxes in some form.

Then, since health care would be a public monopoly, the government could set prices and force health care providers to accept current Medicare payment rates. Medicare reimburses hospitals at 87 percent of costs while private insurance reimburses at 145 percent of costs. Charles Blahous, a former Social Security and Medicare public trustee, estimates that under the Sanders plan, the government could pay about 40 percent less than what private insurers now pay for treatments.

*EXAMINER–COMMENTARY by Thomas L. Friedman:
Goodness knows I’m loath to write anything these days that would feed Donald Trump’s ego. But this time it’s unavoidable. There is a new global political era emerging that, while not entirely attributable to Trump, his party and his administration, they’ve surely played a huge role in fostering. A variety of analysts have now given this era the same name: “Anything goes.” And for good reason. Look around the world and not only do you see a democratic recession — the number of democracies abandoning their democratic bona fides with sham elections is steadily mounting — but you see something much more grotesque: Leaders are grabbing power for life, murdering or jailing even the mildest of critics and shamelessly building coalitions with openly racist and bigoted parties.

Most important, they’re doing it with utter impunity — confident that either no one is watching or no one will meaningfully call them out. This is what happens when people think Americaisn’t looking, doesn’t care or worse, has a president, himself having uttered over 9,000 lies and misleading statements, who has zero moral authority to call out others. When it comes to being a global watchdog that tries to enforce some basic norms of decency, America under Trump is out to lunch — and a lot of people have figured that out, and so anything goes.

Fewer than 10% ‘Truly Independent’ and ‘Much Less Likely’ to Even Vote:

All the media and political hype over the importance of “independent voters” appears to overshadow the truth about the group — less than 10 percent of Americans are truly independent. And according to a new survey, most of them don’t register to vote and even fewer actually vote. Instead, many of the 38 percent of Americans who describe themselves as “independent” lean toward one party or the other, according to Pew Research Center.

“Independents often are portrayed as political free agents with the potential to alleviate the nation’s rigid partisan divisions. Yet the reality is that most independents are not all that ‘independent’ politically,” said the latest Pew survey. “And the small share of Americans who are truly independent — less than 10 percent of the public has no partisan leaning — stand out for their low level of interest in politics,” said Pew.

How low? Here’s what the survey analysis said: “Those who do not lean toward a party — a group that consistently expresses less interest in politics than partisan leaners — were less likely to say they had registered to vote and much less likely to say they voted. In fact, just a third said they voted in the midterms.”

*7 Years Ago US Handed Him Over to Iraqis; Now Hezbollah Terrorist With US Blood on His Hands Heads Terror Cell in Syria:

Seven years after the Obama administration controversially handed over to Iraqi custody a veteran Hezbollah terrorist accused of executing Americans – only to see him released a year later – Israel says the wanted man now heads a Syria-based terror cell near its northern border. According to the Israeli Defense Forces Ali Musa Daqduq, a Lebanesenational, heads a terror cell comprised of Syrians, based on the Syrian side of the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights.

Israel vowed to prevent Iran and its Hezbollah proxy from operating against Israel from Syrian soil. In New York, its ambassador warned U.N. Security Council members that Israel “will not ignore the conversion of Syria and Lebanon to a military front against us and will act with force against the aggression from Tehran.” Daqduq, who once served as a bodyguard to Hezbollah chief Hasan Nasrallah, was deployed to Iraq in 2005 as part of an Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Qods Force operation to work with Iraqi Shi’ite militia fighting U.S. troops.

*Coca-Cola Admits It Produces 3 Million Tons of Plastic Packaging Every Year:

Coca-Cola has admitted that it produces a mind-boggling 3 million metric tons (3.3 million tons) of plastic packaging a year—the equivalent to 200,000 bottles every minute. The beverage company has previously refused to disclose the information, but has now provided the data to activist Ellen MacArthur, who is urging companies and governments to do more to prevent plastic pollution. The figures didn’t break down exactly how the plastic was used, but The Guardian reports the volume translates to 108 billion 500ml PET plastic bottles bottles a year, more than one-fifth of the entire world’s PET bottle output, which is roughly 500 billion a year.

In its reports published Thursday, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation said: “The decision by more than 30 companies to publicly disclose their annual plastic packaging volumes in the report is an important step toward greater transparency.”

*FBI: 2nd Highest Number of Gun Transactions Processed Through NICS System in 2018:

The calendar year of 2018 had the second highest number of gun transactions on record, and the number of gun background checks this past Black Friday was among the highest volume days on record with more than 182,000 transactions, an FBIofficial told a House Appropriations subcommittee on Tuesday. During her opening statement, Christine Halvorsen, acting assistant director of the FBI’s criminal justice information services division, said that since 2010, the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) experienced “substantial increases in the volume of background checks.”

“This past Black Friday was among the highest volume days in the NICS history. In that one day, the NICS processed over 182,000 transactions. In calendar year (CY) 2018, the NICS processed 26.2 million transactions with only CY 2016 exceeding that volume with 27.5 million transactions,” Halvorsen wrote in her written testimony to the Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies. NICS is a computerized system used to determine whether someone is disqualified from buying or owning a firearm.

*FCC Should Limit Locals from Piling Taxes and Fees onto Cable Bills:

If you “cut the cord” and switch from cable TV to streaming services, you will probably notice that one big difference in price happens because that long section of your bill with taxes and fees is gone completely or dramatically slimmed down.  And as more customers go in that direction and competition intensifies on the incumbent franchised cable companies, they are justifiably calling foul on the often outrageous demands local governments place on them that result in more taxes and fees on your bill.

To begin with, there is the maximum five percent franchise fee that localities are allowed to charge on cable service under the Federal Cable Act.  That places cable at a disadvantage versus its video competitors, but it’s authorized by law.  That five percent fee alone delivers over $3 billion a year to local governments. Unsatisfied with that haul, however, local governments have begun concocting a wide variety of additional taxes, fees, and mandates that go on top of and violate the five percent federal cap.

*Study: More than 7-in-10 California Immigrant Households Are on Welfare:

More than 7-in-10 households headed by immigrants in the state of California are on taxpayer-funded welfare, a new study reveals. The latest Census Bureau data analyzed by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) finds that about 72 percent of households headed by noncitizens and immigrants use one or more forms of taxpayer-funded welfare programs in California — the number one immigrant-receiving state in the U.S.

Meanwhile, only about 35 percent of households headed by native-born Americans use welfare in California. All four states with the largest foreign-born populations, including California, have extremely high use of welfare by immigrant households. In Texas, for example, nearly 70 percent of households headed by immigrants use taxpayer-funded welfare. Meanwhile, only about 35 percent of native-born households in Texas are on welfare.

Chief Zabu, A “Trump” Political Satire Film Thirty Years in the Making

In 1986, the film “Chief Zabu” was shot. This “lost indie treasure” features a New York real estate developer who dreams of being loved, respected and having political power. The “Trumpian character” is played by legendary actor Allen Garfield (The ConversationNashville and The Cotton Club, just to name a few). Yet, due to a series of snafus that rival Chief Zabu’s madcap plot (culminating with its distributor going into bankruptcy a week before the film’s Los Angelespremiere), the movie never got released and its negative was lost.

Cut to thirty years later, inspired by the candidacy of Donald Trump, writer-directors Zack Norman and Neil Cohen found their negative, re-cut it, presented their film to festival audiences and officially qualified for nomination to the 2016 Academy Awards.

In order to build the Zabu legend, starting in September 2019, the filmmakers and star will be traveling to 15 major cities for live screening presentations at specialty venues, comedy clubs or in one of the theaters the movie will be opening a week or ten days later. This Interactive Audience Event will include targeted PR and extensive social media coverage beginning three weeks prior to each specific theatrical opening, thereby promoting Chief Zabu and its film debut in all major markets. The aim is to indelibly brand Chief Zabu across the country and eventually throughout the world.

Master of the Blues, Buddy Guy along with 12 members of the White House staff, 3 Nobel Prize winners, over 100 Academy Award winners, 6 U.S. Senators, and over 300 Grammy Award winners.

Donald Trump specializes in spectacular breakups. First there was Ivana. Then there was Marla. Now comes trouble in paradise with Kim.

Last fall, Trump cooed that the North Korean dictator wrote him “beautiful letters” and “we fell in love,” but then the president canceled their lunch date following their disappointing rendezvous in Hanoi. Yet all the crazy tabloid splits and international spats seem pallid in comparison to the pathetic spectacle in Congress: a heartbroken ex publicly and bitterly processing his relationship with Trump.

This time, it wasn’t just lust, betrayal and secrets splayed across Page Six. This time, it was in Congress, part of an investigation that could lead to legal jeopardy for the Trumps or impeachment for the president.

People often say that our problem in America today is incivility or intolerance. This is incorrect. Motive attribution asymmetry leads to something far worse: contempt, which is a noxious brew of anger and disgust. And not just contempt for other people’s ideas, but also for other people. In the words of the philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer, contempt is “the unsullied conviction of the worthlessness of another.”

The sources of motive attribution asymmetry are easy to identify: divisive politicians, screaming heads on television, hateful columnists, angry campus activists and seemingly everything on the contempt machines of social media. This “outrage industrial complex” works by catering to just one ideological side, creating a species of addiction by feeding our desire to believe that we are completely right and that the other side is made up of knaves and fools. It strokes our own biases while affirming our worst assumptions about those who disagree with us.

*YIKES – Half of Young Americans Want to Live in Socialist Country, But 67.1% Credit Free Enterprise for
High Earnings:

While half of Millennial and Generation Z Americans say they’d rather live in a socialist country, an even greater percentage believe that free enterprise results in higher earnings. According to a Harris Poll of 2,035 adults, conducted Feb. 21–25, 2019 and provided to Axios, Millennials and Generation Z respondents were more likely than the national average to agree with the statement that they would “Prefer living in a socialist country.”

Prefer living in a socialist country:
•    Total: 37.2%
•    Mill/Gen Z: 49.6%

Nonetheless, more than two-thirds of the Millennial and Generation Z cohorts agree than free enterprise produces high earnings, only slightly lower than the national average.

High earnings result of free enterprise:
•    Total: 71.2%
•    Mill/Gen Z: 67.1%

The Millennial and Generation Z contingents are comprised of those Americans 38 years old or younger, Pew Researchexplains: “Anyone born between 1981 and 1996 (ages 23 to 38 in 2019) is considered a Millennial, and anyone born from 1997 onward is part of a new generation.“Since the oldest among this rising generation are just turning 22 this year, and most are still in their teens or younger, we hesitated at first to give them a name – Generation Z, the iGeneration and Homelanderswere some early candidates.”

*Ronald Reagan Warned Us This
Day Could Come:

“I’m warning of an eradication of the American memory that could result, ultimately, in an erosion of the American spirit.” So cautioned President Ronald Reagan, 30 years ago today, when he gave his Farewell Address to the nation.

A new generation of Americans doesn’t seem to fully appreciate America, her history and heroes, the promise of opportunity, the understanding of freedom, or the concepts of citizenship, shared responsibility, or the rule of law.

According to a recent report on the State of American Patriotism, 46 percent of young Americans (aged 14-37) disagree that “America is the greatest country in the world,” and 38 percent of the same cohort say they are not proud of America’s history. Our last three presidents, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump have been dismissed by opponents as illegitimate, increasing the political divide.

*75 Percent of Republicans Say White Americans Are Discriminated Against:

The victimization of white America put forth by conservatives and right-wing media has taken hold, according to the results in a new poll from Hill-HarrisX. A whopping 75 percent of registered Republican voters said that white Americans face discrimination.

A majority of Independents, 55 percent, sided with Republicans and said white Americans are discriminated against. Meanwhile, only 38 percent Democrats agreed, and sixty-two percent of Democrats said that white Americans face little or no discrimination at all.

*ICE: 158,581 Illegals Arrested in FY2018; Those Arrested Had 1,641 Homicide Convictions, 1,294
Kidnap Convictions:

The latest U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement(ICE) report on arrests and removals of illegal aliens shows that the total number of arrests in Fiscal Year 2018 was 158,581, an increase of 11% over the total arrests in FY 2017.

In addition, the report reveals that among those arrested were individuals with 1,641 homicide convictions, 1,294 kidnapping convictions, 3,740 sexual assault convictions, more than 54,000 DUI convictions, and more than 55,000 dangerous drug offense convictions.

Fiscal Year 2018 covered the period from Oct. 1, 2017 to Sept. 30, 2018. The report details the Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) for that year. “ERO identifies, arrests, and removes aliens who present a danger to national security or a threat to public safety, or who otherwise undermine border control and the integrity of the U.S. immigration system,” states ICE in the document.

*Top 5 States That Rely Most
on Federal Aid:

In a new report on how much federal aid goes into state budgets, the Tax Foundation found that “33 percent of all state revenues consisted of federal grants-in-aid” but Mississippi‘s budget held the largest percentage: 43.3%. Virginia‘s budget held the lowest percentage, 21.1% in federal aid. The data presented were from fiscal year 2016, the latest information available. As the Tax Foundation explained, “Federal aid is allocated to states for a variety of purposes, primarily to supplement state funding for programs or projects deemed to be of national interest. Some federal aid is awarded in the form of competitive grants, while other federal funding is allocated according to formulas established by law.”

“States that rely heavily on federal grants-in-aid tend to have sizable low-income populations and relatively lower tax revenues,” said the Tax Foundation.  “On the other hand, states with relatively lower reliance on federal aid tend to collect more in taxes and have smaller low-income populations, although some exceptions exist.”

The top 5 states whose general revenue funds comprised the highest percentages in federal aid are:

Mississippi, 43.4% of budget is federal aid
Louisiana, 42.7%
New Mexico, 41.2%
Arizona, 41.2%
Kentucky, 40.9%

The top 5 states whose general revenue funds comprised the lowest percentages in federal aid are:

Virginia, 21.1%
Hawaii, 22.7%
Kansas, 23%
North Dakota, 23.8%
Utah, 25.7%

*Egyptian pharaohs were considered children of Ra (Egyptian sun god) and, thus, their dreams were seen as being divine.

•    In the Chinese province of Fu-Kein, people called on their ancestors for dream revelation by sleeping on graves.

•    Scientists suggest that the dreams of fetuses are mostly composed of sound and touch sensations, given the lack of visual stimuli in the womb.

•    Among the six dreams reported in the New Testament are the dreams that communicate divine knowledge, instruction, and warning to Joseph, husband of Mary, mother of Jesus.

•    About 80% of neonatal and newborn sleep time is REM sleep, suggesting a tremendous amount of time dreaming.

•    According to Plato, dreams originate in the organs of the belly. Plato describes the liver in particular as the biological seat of dreams.

•    Elias Howe (1819-1867) said one inspiration for his invention of the sewing machine came from a nightmare he had about being attacked by cannibals bearing spears that looked like the needle he then designed.

•    The average person has about 1,460 dreams a year. That’s about four per night.

People are more likely to remember their dreams if they wake up during the REM phase.

•    Modern research has shown that a sharp decrease in daily calories results in fewer nocturnal ejaculations in men and an overall decrease in the sexual themes of dreams.

•    Aside from those who experience certain kinds of injury, it’s a biological fact that everyone dreams. However, not everyone remembers his or her dreams.

Consumers are more likely to order food from healthy dining concepts when the menu font looks handwritten, and they’re also more likely to share about the experience on social media, according to an Ohio State University study. The opposite was true with menus for traditional, non-seasonal restaurants, researchers found.

Michael Cohen is, famously, a lowlife and screwball who’s made his living as an enforcer, liar and thug. He is going to prison essentially for these things. He has taken to implying his turning on Donald Trump is linked to an inner moral conversion, which may be true but is conveniently timed: He has nothing to lose and some form of leniency to gain.

But I found his testimony before the House Oversight and Reform Committee credible overall, and I suspect most everyone in America did, because no one, friend of the president or foe, love him or hate him, thinks Mr. Trump has a high personal character or an especially admirable back story. And that was Mr. Cohen’s subject.

I often wonder who didn’t love Donald Trump. I often wonder who left an affection void that he has tried to fill by winning attention, which is not the same thing. He’s turned his life into a marketing strategy. As Michael Cohen said in his testimony, even the presidential campaign was a marketing campaign to build the Trump brand. In turning himself into a brand he’s turned himself into a human shell, so brittle and gilded that there is no place for people close to him to attach. His desperate attempts to be loved have made him unable to receive love.

Imagine what your own life would be like if you had no love in it, if you were just using people and being used. Trump, personifying the worst elements in our culture, is like a providentially sent gong meant to wake us up and direct us toward a better path. Nonetheless, his kind of life has an allure for other lonely people who also live under the illusion that you can win love and respect with bling and buzz. Michael Cohen was one of these people. He testified that in serving Donald Trump he felt he was serving a cause larger than self. Those causes were celebrity and wealth.
